Dr. Haime, an Aruba native, has been working on the island since 1995. He graduated from the Amsterdam Medical Centre with a medical degree. He moved to the United States for a fellowship in Total Joint Arthroplasty after finishing his residency at the University of Amsterdam. In 1995, he returned to Aruba.
Dr. Kuiken is a Dutch Orthopedic surgeon who earned his medical degree from the University of Groningen. In 2014, he completed his residency at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) and affiliated institutions to become an orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Kuiken moved to Aruba with his family in 2016 after working as an orthopedic physician in the Netherlands for two years.
Dr. Hoenders began working on Aruba in 2018. She received her education at the University of Groningen’s Medical School in the Netherlands. Her residency was split between the University Medical Hospital of Groningen (UMCG) and the Groningen Martini Hospital. Her thesis, “Microorganisms and inflammation in the long-term aseptic loosening process of total hip implants,” was completed in 2008. She completed a two-year Paediatric Orthopedics fellowship after completing her orthopedic surgery training (UMCG). Dr. Hoenders and her family moved to Aruba after completing her fellowship.
She treats patients of all ages and has a passion for helping people get back to the things in life they enjoy most without wrist pain.
